Like most other higher education institutions, University of Hyderabad also has been facing an unprecedented crisis in fulfilling its primary mandate of delivering quality education to its students. The University has resumed the current semester online beginning August 20. However, public universities like UoH have to contend with the diversity of our student population, their geographic spread across the country, including in rural areas, and uneven access to digital resources. The University has announced a digital access grant (DAG) of Rs.1000 per month for this semester to deprived students by re-purposing the Basic Boarding & Lodging (BBA) allowance.
However, there are students who do not have access to digital devices like smartphones or laptops. As alumni and well-wishers of students, we humbly respond to this crisis by contributing your mite to support needy students and supplement the University’s efforts. The UoH Alumni Association will work closely with the Task Force, headed by two of our co-alumni, to identify and prioritise genuine needs and requirements so that the funds we raise are disbursed appropriately. The UoH Alumni Association will ensure that all donations are duly acknowledged. We appeal to you to help University of Hyderabad continue to offer quality and affordable higher education to all.
